great gun

First you should know that all new spray guns need to be cleaned first with laquer then you can use them. This gun comes with a wrench so you can take apart the gun for cleaning. I used dupli color reducer with my candy green paint. I flowed the mixing ratios on the reducer label My paint came out great. The gun feels great on the hand and it is alot lighter the most guns. I would recommended this spray gun.

Q: Can this unit be used for latex paints?

A: a lot of latex paints shouldn't be sprayed through an air spray gun. You need an airless sprayer to spray latex which are can cost thousands. Usually can only spray oil based paints and lacquers through air guns. Instructions on the side of the paint tin should specify proper application instructions of your paint.

Q: Can I use it to spray Polyurethane one-part fiberglass paint ?

A: Spray polyurethane one part fibreglass paint is dependent on the paint manufactures recommendations, customers need to check on the recommended max/min viscosity of liquid and that will determine if a spray gun can be used. Re: the company that makes the paint is the people this you would need to ask.

Q: Can I use it on a Husky 8 Gallon compressor - air inlet 1/4"?

A: An 8 gal. compressor can be used, but the motor will run almost continuously using a spray gun, due to the constant demand for air pressure. A larger compressor is recommended, 16 gal or greater.
