So far, so good!

We bought this a while ago, primarily for use at the beach. Finally used it today for the first time. Wind was light to moderate and, when we first put it up, it blew over; however, the second time, I made sure the centre pin was well into the sand, plus used two cords to help fasten. Had it up for nearly four hours with no problems whatsoever. Already looking forward to its next use!

We bought this as a beach buster, works great. End up using it in our back yard for a shady spot as well. This thing can be pegged down into anything. My wife loves it, so happy wife, happy life!

Useless in wind

When this works it is great. But it is terrible on windy days. The pegs it come with do nothing and constantly bend. The unrelated easily folds inside out during set up in the wind. At times the whole umbrella has to be tirned against the beach wind so you can’t see the kids. Impossible for one person to set up with even the slightest bit of wind. I am replacing it with a simple $20 beach umbrella. So disappointing.

It broke the first time we used it. It was not a very windy day, but a gust took it and turned it inside out. The metal rods are attached to the top with a very flimsy metal circle, and the plastic cap keeping the whole together doesn't stay on. Anyway, the whole thing broke way beyond repair. I would not recommend this product. It is far too large, and so catches far too much wind, for its design.
