This does work you just need to wait

This paint stripper 100% works. There are a lot of negative reviews for it saying it doesn't but the people writing these reviews are expecting it to work like paint stripper did before environmental regulations made manufacturers change the active chemical in it. Old school paint stripper was made using methylene chloride which smelled really bad, was incredibly destructive to the environment, but removed paint easily. You would put it on and almost instantly the paint would start bubbling and lift up. Modern paint strippers have to make do with more environmentally friendly chemicals that take a long time to work. It takes hours for this and other modern paint strippers to work on most surfaces. Put this paint stripper on in a thickish layer. You will be able to tell by looking at it when it starts working because the paint will start to lift. That doesn't mean it's finished yet though, it just means it's started. Check if you need to put more on and wait until all the paint has lifted off the entire surface. I've had this process take anywhere from 2 hours to more than 24 hours. I understand most people expect this product to work like paint strippers they might have used in the past, and the bottle saying it takes as little as 5 minutes doesn't help, but there is no paint stripper that is currently sold that will take 5 minutes. The only scenario I can imagine it taking 5 minutes is for relatively freshly applied paint that hasn't cured yet.

Ambiguous Advertising-Promise Of, But Not ……

Found the product extremely expensive, but with the claim on the bottle would remove up to five layers of paint- l would pay and try it. Very disappointing that with two coats of the stripper still needed the heat gun to complete the two small wooden bedroom side table project.

Completely useless. Pile it on as thick as you like, leave it as short or long as you like - makes absolutely no difference to the effort required to scrape paint off a wooden surface.
