went to change where it was plugged in and discovered the plug was black, luckily it didn't start fire. Of course I not longer have the receipt

Not perfect, but it works.

Generally speaking, this works as expected. My daughter loves the sunset/sunrise features and waking up to bird sounds. It gives a positive start to the day. However, sometimes the light does not turn off at the end of the sunset or stays on following the end of the sunrise cycle. Not a big deal, Ijust go in and turn it off. However, it is a little oddity.

Q: I cant get the light to turn off permanently. I keep my finger on it for 3 seconds as per manual to turn it off, yet it still lights up every night at 11:30 disturbing my sleep. How do I get it to not go on anymore.

A: Hello, thank you for your question. Please press and hold the VOLUME UP / ALARM 2 ON-OFF SET button to turn alarm on and off. The LED lights on the left side of the display will not be illuminated when the alarm is off. Hope this helps.

Q: Can you set it so the light just comes on and not the alarm? I want to use it so my son knows it's ok to get out of bed at a certain time but dont want an alarm going off.

A: Yes the light alarm can be set without any sound.

A: The wake up light will stay on after the alarm, until you turn the alarm off. You can turn the wake up light off at any time during this process by clicking the sun button.

Q: If I put in batteries, in addition to using the DC power supply, will the batteries work as a back-up in case of a power outage?

A: The Battery backup will allow the clock to continue functioning during a power outage. However the clock display will not function until the power returns.

A: The Clock Radio scans for a station, and will stop on a station. Please ensure the white antenna wire is unwound. Try positioning the antenna wire in different positions for better reception. Please contact customer service at 1-800-387-8803 for a copy of the manual
