      Not like mentioned on Website

Nice drill if you only want to use superspeed, but almost usesless for most jobs. The drill only has a high speed setting, therefore it will strip screws or screw too far into whatever is being drilled. The Canadian Tire website is incorrect in saying a variable speed trigger...

No, I do not recommend this product.

Okay in a pinch, but that's about it

This is a very light duty drill. The keyless chuck isn't very good. The chuck collar is too thin to grip well. Not variable speed, but I didn't expect it to be at this price. The reversing lever feels flimsy and cheap. I picked it up on sale because I had an emergency. It will probably sit on a bottom shelf and collect dust now.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: Is this powerful enough to drill holes through standard sheet metal for vehicle body work?

      • A: Yes. I used it to drill out a lock, so it should handle sheet metal no problem.

Q: Can I use this for small hole in Concrete ceiling for attach curtain hook

      1 Answer
      • A: Thank you for your question. A hammer drill is recommended for drilling into concrete however you can use a standard drill. Be sure to use a masonry bit and drill at a slow speed.

Q: Will be using this with Meguiar's Heavy Duty Headlight Restoration Kit. Use what extension cord? One, polarized (two-prong) outlet 16 gauge 13 amp?

      1 Answer
      • A: This Skil drill is double insulated so it has a 2 prong plug and a 4.5 amp motor. If using a 25 foot extension cord use 18 gauge, 50 foot cord use 16 gauge, 100 ft cord use 16 gauge and 150 foot cord use 14 gauge.
