Waste of my time

Ordered using product number however item is not the same as the picture. Update your photo please. When I advised the pickup counter I was returning it was advised to go into customer service in the store. I ordered at ouch to avoid the store traffic. Never Again

Q: Is this wool cutting pad better as a first pass with a cutting compound, or as a final pass with a polish or wax?

  • A: A cutting pad is designed for more aggressive work. For a final polish or wax I use foam pads. Even foam pads have different degrees of aggressiveness. Be aware that paint is thin on edges and burn through is a real possibility

Q: I need to buy a 6" one, Simoniz does not carry 6" one?

  • A: Buy the 7” (17,8cm) Simonides wool cutting pad.   Your machines wheel will fit into the 6” RECESSED DEPTH on the back paid side of the wool pad.   It is hook & eye AND  the recessed depth will prevent it from coming off during rotary use.   Buy a second for any DARK COLOURS to recent transferring the soil onto your LIGHT COLOURS.

Q: Is this product compatible with the Simoniz Platinum Dual Action Corded Polisher, 6-in Item: #039-6534-4

  • A: Yes!  The buffer pad is comparable.   It has a recessed inner hardpad with the hook & eye.  And the outside circumference of the hardpad fits into a tapered edge so the wheel is bellow the buffer pad and can not scratch or damage your job.  I recommend using a different CLEAN pad for each colour change (on boat finishes) as some paint pigments can transfer onto the pad and MIGHT rub into the lighter colours.  Hope this helps.
