Great stuff

First time for me applying ceramic coating, applied 2 coats, easy application, work small section make sure you get 100% coverage, buffing very easy, ready to buff when see like rainbow colors. Great water bead and roll off, dirt doesn’t stick, easy rinse dirt off. For durability will see in couple months.

certified detailer here, and I've used a handful of commercial grade ceramic coatings and they tend to be extremely picky, not doing professional work anymore just side gigs so I tested a few other consumer grade coatings such as silverwax nano 1 and chemical guys carbon shield they aren't bad but the final buffing process can be very picky and can look fine during initial inspection but after cure time has passes the results are iffy. saw this stuff on the shelf and gave it a try and im so far impressed it goes on very well and buffs off with ease, final test will be durability. so far 5 stars, be aware this stuff will sting your nostrils so please use in a ventilated shop environment.

A: You should watch a few videos on the process of applying this type of product. You will need to wash the vehicle with a strong vehicle specific soap that can remove dirt and old waxes and contamination. You need to then apply an iron remover, wash rinse, hard water spor remover, then clay bar your vehicle. For a truly long lasting bond of the coating and clear coat and to achieve maximum shine and results, you need to then use a compound, fine polish the entire vehicle using a DA polisher (requires skill and preparation). After all of this you ensure no wax, polish or oils are on the surface by using an isopropyl alcohol cleaner then you may apply the coating. After application the car should be kept from moisture and dust for at least a few days if possible. After a few weeks of the coating hardening you should apply a ceramic topper product to help protect the coating and ensure water beading action. I have used this product and it works great after a year and is still performing well after the car is properly cleaned (decontaminated with coating specific product). Great product and comparable to far more expensive coatings however like everything, you get out what you put in. If you wash your car then apply this coating, I wouldn't imagine it will last very long, maybe weeks to a few months at best. Even a new car neber driven would need a light polish to ensure no contamination of the surface before applying a coating.

Q: What can I use for maintenance once a year or every 6 months? Can I use Simoniz Platinum Ceramic Quick Detailer, Hydrophobic #039-7097-8 for topper or any other ceramic detailer.

A: Thanks for your inquiry, Jerry. We recommend use of a ceramic detail spray at least monthly. Most people use one weekly or anytime after they wash their car.

Q: could it be applied on car windows

A: Thanks for your inquiry, jerry. The Simonix Platinum Graphene Ceramic Coating Kit can be applied to windows but will be abraded off by windshield wiper activity (think of how the wipers move salt, sand etc. across the windshield and off to the sides.) Depending on local conditions, this abrading can happen in as little as a month, creating a zone of no protection, no water beading in the area the windshield wipers travel across. This is why the ceramic and graphene coatings for windows are different chemistries that serve to fill the voids in the glass on a molecular level and create smoothness in that manner rather than creating a layer on top of the glass.
