I bought this 4 years ago and only use it 3 - 4 times a year. Went to use it this year and it would not start. Would not buy another one.

Leaks after 1 season.

My family owned a Simoniz pressure washer for over 20 years so I felt like this would be a good purchase. Unfortunately the seal at the hose spool has blown after a handful of uses. If this is how they’re now being built, than their quality has dropped significantly over the years.

Don’t get fooled by the brand name

I bought this a while ago expecting reasonable quality from a brand-name Simoniz. It worked pretty good for a couple years… I did not really use it a lot maybe 10 times per year. It was always stored in a heated workshop. This spring I got it out to wash the car. It worked for 10 minutes and then it just stopped. It looks like Canadian Tire does not carry this anymore and good riddance to that.

A: We have never tested the Ryobi 18 foot extension so i cannot be sure. However, the Ryboi website page mentioned that it would fit most brands.

Q: Am I able to get a third party brand water pressure gun for this pressure washer? If so, what would be the fitting sizes that is compatible?

A: If the third party gun comes with a M22 x 1.5 thread, it should work. However, you might also need to buy the third party wand as well. Q: Is the pump suppose to stop when not using nozzle? or does it just stay on?

A: All the Simoniz and Platinum pressure washers come with a total stop system. When the customer releases the trigger, the motor and pump will stop automatically within seconds. As soon as the customer presses the trigger again, the motor will start automatically as soon as the pressure washer is powered ON.

Q: Is there a way to avoid the issue that others have encountered with this device not working properly in the 2nd season? i.e. with tubing bursting and nozzles not working?

A: Bring the unit inside the house during winter or winterize the pressure washer properly. As for the nozzle, please use the needle to clean it or run it through with water.
