It died less than a year after purchase. Nothing professional about it. Not a heavy duty as advertised. It does not work any better than a cheaper priced iron.

Heats up fast irons well. Started leaking a few drops of water within weeks. By 3 months leaked enough to be frustrating. 6 months later is unusable. I yr limited warranty. You need to return at your cost AND include a check to access the warranty. DO NOT BUY

This thing heats up super fast, I don't find the control placements a problem AT ALL unlike some others. Heat shut off safety feature great- all explained in instructions, just monitor the heat display if you take a break as it will have shut down - but this thing heats up super fast. The blast of steam function is great for guerrilla (fast) ironing jobs - if I don't feel like getting out the ironing board, I put the iron on, 30 seconds later its at full heat and I can steam a top while its on a hanger. With fantastic results. Perfect for t-shirts and so on that get left in the dryer too long. I hope this thing lasts. Have had it 2 months and its the best iron I've ever owned. And it comes with a 1 year warranty anyway.

Q: My Shark iron turns off while still ironing. I have had my shark professional iron for about 6 months. When I am ironing, it shuts off automatically after about four pair of pants. Can you please tell me why it is doing this.

A: This iron is equipped with an electronic auto-off feature that switches the iron off if it has been idle in the sideways, flat or upright positions for 7-9 minutes. 16 The auto-off light will flash in red on the LED display when the iron is in auto-off mode. To turn the iron back on, just gently rock the iron back and forth several times until the “Power ON” green light is re-illuminated. The green light will stop flashing once the iron has reached the preset temperature. The iron might have to warm up for a minute if the auto-off feature was activated for an extended time. If this does not resolve the issue, please call customer service support, at 1-800-798-7398 or visit their website at www.sharkclean.com.
