Shark UltraCyclone X2 Pro Cordless Handheld Vacuum Cleaner, 10.8V

It’s an excellent vacuum, however it has one problem. The housing is made of plastic and a cracks very easy, although the warranty covered it the problem happened to me twice already, and I could just imagine that this will break again when it is off warranty and will have to be thrown away, so I’m not very pleased with this vacuum.

I bought this and i initially loved it. It slowly started getting more and more difficult to turn on until it eventually stopped. I bought a second one and the same thing happened both within 6 months.

I'm having the same exact problem as reviewer"pistol." The inlet tube where the various accessories plug in has a good size chip in it It started out as a small crack then got bigger until an entire piece chicken off. This problem causes major issues with suction power as well as the vacuums ability to hold any of the accessories in place. Even the lightest crevice tool falls out just by picking the vacuum up off the ground or other surface. I can also forget about using the motorized brush accessory... That accessory is way too heavy to use now. That accessory falls out as soon as it's out in . I tried covering the chipped area with heavy duty tape and no luck. The accessories still fall out and it did nothing to fix the suction power it once had. I would have no problem recommending this product to a friend if the the inlet tip was somehow fixed i.e. stronger material, a better warranty, etc. Furthermore, the rest of my rankings in this review are a direct and true reflection of my vacuum as it is right now (not as it was brand new.)

While I love the suction and ease of cleaning the vacuum, I too have been very disappointed in the durability. The plastic collection section is very brittle. The attachment end began cracking almost immediately. I liked the vacuum so much that I added duct tape and rubber bands to reinforce the attachment end, which has made it last longer but doesn't allow for the brush attachment to be added or for it to be clean completely. I went so far as to buy a second thinking I could use it for replacement parts. Of course, it too began cracking at the attachment area. Today the hinge on the door for the dust removal compartment cracked and broke off. I guess it's well and truly broken now. I'm very disappointed that at a minimum you can't easily buy a replacement. I have two perfectly good motors but no working vacuum.

I use the Shark Cyclone pet pro on my couches, stairs and anywhere else I can't fit my other vacuums. I have a German Shepard that sheds like crazy. This handheld vacuum has an attachment that is specifically designed to remove longer dog hair that gets embedded in the fabric. The attachment works well because the roller pulls the hair out. That along with great suction power has been the best way of getting the dog hair off the couch. I use it everyday and so far, for a couple of months, it has held up well. It's lightweight and great for quick cleanup jobs, the battery isn't super long lasting, about 15min. It does charge quickly. The dirt canistar is large for its size. I find that I have to frequently clean the filter because it quickly becomes clogged up with debris. I like that it has 2 other attachments, one with bristles and another one that is thinner. The thin attachment is amazing at getting into all those nooks and crannies, but I especially love it for cleaning the top of my baseboards. The only thing I don't like is that there is no base for either charging or holding the vacuum upright. It just lays on the floor when charging. It would be nice to have a dedicated spot for it. I just keep it on a counter in my laundry room.
