I planted this seed at the same time i planted the "traditional" seed and the Turf builder smart seed had sprouted within 7 days while the other seed had dried out

It grew.

It grew but haven't noticed any differences from other grasses. However, it hasn't stopped raining for more than 3 days all spring and summer so it hasn't been a test of its heat and drought capabilities.

A: Your interest in Scotts Turf Builder Coated Grass Seed Heat & Drought Mix Watersmart Plus is appreciated. For best results, sow Scotts Turf Builder Coated Grass Seed Heat & Drought Mix Watersmart Plus when temperatures are consistently in the 60 - 70 degree range. This means that the soil temperature will then be 55 to 65 degrees. All seed needs a continuous supply of moisture and warm soil temperatures for germination. The seed percentages are as follows: 15% Gaelic Kentucky Bluegrass, 8% Lustrous Creeping Red Fescue, 7% Kent Creeping Red Fescue, 15% Treazure II Chewing Fescue, 5% Majesty II Perennial Ryegrass, 48% Limestone as a carrier and 2% Coating.
