AMAZING DEEP GREEN AND THICK LAWN

I used scotts centipede grass seed and the starter fertilizer for new grass and had amazing results as the overseeding thickened my yard and the fertilizer gave it a deep green color that was once again amazing. I'm doing it again this year as soon as the groud temperature rises.

Product would not spread

I bought this product to help with a newly seeded lawn and the fertilizer was all clumped together in the bag and would not work in my spreader. I have talked to others that have had good luck with this product and they told me that it should spread easily. I am worried that there might have been moisture in the brand new bag? Please help

By far the best

I laid sod for my yard, and the first 10 years I tried different products at the start of spring. Then one year, I used this Scotts Sod and seed fertilizer, that was well over 15 years ago, and I assure you, there is NOTHING that works as good as this product! You couldnt pay me to use anything else! If it had 10 stars, I would give it 12!

Questions

1 - 3 of 3 Questions

Q: I just put new sod in 5 days ago. When is the best time to use this? Before, after, am I to late?

1 Answer
  • A: This may be applied anytime before or after seeding. Ideally, when sodding, the starter fertilizer should be applied before laying the sod. Although it is alright to apply it the sod was placed if it was not applied before.

Q: Can I apply this fertilizer 1 week after I seeded a new lawn?

1 Answer
  • A: Yes, this may be applied 1 week after applying new seed. To avoid over fertilizing, be sure to space your fertilizer applications at least 6 weeks apart.
