Product Details

Safer's® Tomato & Vegetable Insect Killer utilizes the power of potassium salts of fatty acids (insecticidal soap). The potassium salts weaken the insect's waxy protective outer shell. This results in dehydration, which causes them to die. Unlike traditional synthetic chemicals, it breaks down into its natural elements, leaving no residual impact on the environment. One application lasts up to 10 days, and the product can be applied up until the day of harvest.

Safer's Tomato and Vegetable Insecticide kills aphids, mealy bugs, spider mites and whiteflies
For use on houseplants, ornamental foliage plants, flowering plants, and fruits and vegetables
Does not kill beneficial insects such as ladybugs and praying mantises when use as directed

Effective and gentle.

Very satisfied, it is an effective product and gentle enough to use on early seedlings in my seed trays to allow them to evade the pests and grow into maturity.

Don't like it

I’m not seeing any results from the spray yet. The bottle says “read label for more details,” but there’s no label. Also, there’s still a lot of product left in the bottle, but the spray head isn’t picking it up. It feels like too much product to waste.

I used it to kill aphids. Satisfying to see the little brown dead aphids. Thought repeated applications are needed.

Pretty sure the bugs laughed when I sprayed them, it did nothing to help with the bugs eating my garden plants.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Keeps the pest away

I use this yearly for my tomatoes and cucumber plants and it keeps the bugs away. Follow the directions on the label and you will see the results. A bit pricey at $12 so keep an eye out for sales and discounts.

Q: Does this work for black flea beetles ?

A: I don't know for sure because I have never encountered black flea beatles but I suspect it would not work. This product works on soft bodied insects and will not harm ladybugs.
