After spending an hour trying to loosen a rusty bolt this did the trick in a couple of minutes. A few sprays and was on my way to continuing my project.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

I needed to get two bolts off and WD40 wasn't working. I sprayed this and within seconds the bolts came loose. Saved me lots of hassle.

    Didn't help!

This was to help remove stud nuts from an exhaust manifold on a 10 year old Toyota. The condition of the studs were similar to the picture on the can of "Freeze". I was looking for an alternative to heating with oxyacetylene since the space was tight, and there were a lot of sensitive wires and foam insulation around pipes. First I sprayed it on and left it for 5 mins, didn't help, then again sprayed and left it for 15 mins, and still didn't help. So then I tried spraying the stud for 15 to 20 sec. and leaving it penetrate for 30 mins, and still didn't help. In the end I fit a socket on a breaker bar and removed all the studs without the "Freeze". I wondered if it even worked, and using the removed studs I sprayed one for 15 sec. and yes the temp of the sprayed stud did go to below -15C, but that's only a change of say 30 to 40 degrees. Yet when using heat and bringing the metal to glowing orange is a temp change of over a 1000C, and this breaks the rust 100% of the time. I guess this is just another expensive gimmick.

No, I do not recommend this product.

a auto parts professional recommend this as a great penetrate oil. Used it on my break bleeder screws. Sprayed on and left on for 5 minutes and then the screw came off with no problem. I all ways look for the same professional for all my auto questions. I use this on all my rusted screws and bolts. Thanks rust check.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

Q: CAN IT WORK ON THE INSIDE OF A MOTORCYCLE GAS TANK I have a 1980 honda motorcycle and the gas tank has a layer of rust in it I was wondering if this product will remove the rust in the gas tank?

    1 Answer
    • A: Rust Check Freeze is a penetrating lubricant – it is not a rust remover. If the inside of the gas tank is rusting, then we would strongly recommend replacing the tank.
