I purchased the X2 today and returned it because it didn't come with a wall mount and had a plastic table top which might be ok for wood but I think from reading reviews.( after the purchase opps)will be destroyed by aluminum and steel. I returned it and paid 6 and change more for the version with the steel table top (Stainless steel covering )over casted aluminum?) and this one came with the wall mount , a drawer for dust, and a drawer for blades as well as being Variable speed from a ratcheting dial numbered 1-6.it was very easy to set up it took longer to get it out of the box then prepare for cutting ,and the blades are really easy to install so far I have cut birch plywood and some aluminum and am happy with the results from both materials, nice straight smooth cuts and does the job with ease. I would recommend this tool for anyone who needs a versatile tool .I also like the vacuum attachment , saves a lot of dust from blowing around . Awesome tool

Is There a trade in available? This is a great little saw. Now that the Blade runner X2 is available, this is obsolete. I have had my Blade runner for several years and would trade with only one other saw. THE BLADERUNNER X2. The only problem I have run in to with this saw is where the arm support is attached. Having the support from the side limits a cross cut with a wide board. It is in the way. The Blade Runner X2 has solved the problem. It is in the rear and acts as a splitter. I have several Rockwell tools and this is the only one I would trade. The reason for 4 star and not 5 is obvious.

i waited 6 months for our ctc store to bring one in . perfect tool for my projects . some flaws should have a bigger guide to cut against other wise a great tool

Made the PERFECT coasters with this!

My first use with this tool went smoothly and cuts were easy with little resistance. It was so easy out of the box, with little assembly needed. With the use of the optional circle cutter, I made some pretty nice coasters for my bar at home.

Q: Will this cut a 45 degree surface angle? (Beveled cut)

A: The Bladerunner will make a 45 degree angle cut using the miter gauge but it will not make a bevel cut since the blade is vertical and will not tilt.

Q: will this saw cuthard wood and whats max thickness will this saw cut hard woods ie: ebony walnut 2-3 inc thick as thats what i need to doI tuner pens on my lathe and I will be using this to cut stock all hard woods. as with any saw ill have to let the blade do the work but whats max cut thickness?

A: Bladerunner Cutting Capacity: Wood: 1-1/2” It will cut all kinds of wood just ensure proper t-shank jigsaw blade is used for wood cutting.
