a month ago

I bought this item to replace a lock that was missing its key. I figured that for the modest price (CTC won't let you mention it in these reviews) it was probably cheaper than bringing the old lock to a locksmith. Installation is pretty straightforward.

Q: The garage door handle does not come with any sort of retainer clip or other hardware for the 5/16" square shaft. What is used? Replacement T-Handle Garage Door Lock Product #46-0122-2

A: The T-handle is fastened to the outside of the door. There can be a variety of inside locking mechanisms used with the T-handle, but all will fasten to the inside of the door, so no clips are needed. This is based on the applications that we are aware of. In addition, this is a replacement item, so the inside components are very often reused.
