Follow instructions. I ran all three cans through had to feather the last two cans in and let the AC run then I cycled it a few times over a short period of time and now my AC works great again no more freezing up inside the furnace

    Not Reliable

Not an effective refrigerant leak fix product. I tried to prevent home Airconditioning systems minor leak through suction service valve due to bad snap ring. Hold the refrigerant only for 5 days.

Q: Is this appropriate to seal a central AC using R22 refrigerant?

    • A: Tony.   I put this sealer in our home central air conditioner because it had a very slow leak.  It would leak around a half of a pound of r22 about every 6 months.  Since I put it in about 2 months ago my system pressures have stayed the same. So it seams to have fixed the small leak.   Hopefully this will be helpful.

Q: I attempted to use this on a very hot day after topping my AC with R22A first. Then I tried this seal repair and left it connected for 1 hour. The can still have seal inside. I expected the can to be empty!

    1 Answer
    • A: You add the ProSeal first, then top up with R22a. If you top up first, then the system will be overcharged once you add the ProSeal. Next, the cans have changed. The old ones used a hose/valve that had a pointy tip to pierce the can. The new ones use a blunt tip to press an internal valve in the can. Using an old hose/valve on a new style can crushes the internal valve in the can and nothing comes out. So if the screw top on the can is solid metal with no hole, you need a pointy tip on your valve. If the screw top on the can has a small hole in the middle, you need a valve with a blunt tip. If you are using the correct valve and nothing comes out, the can is probably defective.

Q: Do I need anything else than RED TEK Gauge and Hose (14-6132) to apply this to my central AC? Any special fitting? Thanks.

    1 Answer
    • A: The 0146132 installation hose should be used when installing the 0146131 ProSeal22 into a R22 A/C System only. This is not recommended for use with R410 A/C systems. Be sure to verify the type of refrigerant used on you central A/C system before proceeding with the purchase. Thanks,
