It is not too black for this primer, You will end up two to three cans of this primer for multiple coats to paint a set of rims to get the desired blackish's primer. The only good thing on this product is the nozzle but spending more for just a primer is not worth it. 👎

I had a disappointing experience with this product. The first can I purchased did not spray at all, so I had to return it to the store for a replacement. The second can did spray, but paint began leaking from the nozzle and around the can, getting all over my hands and the bottle itself. Overall, the product was messy and unreliable in my experience. I would not recommend it based on these issues.

This was a tricky one to rate. The product itself works great. The nozzle, however, is aweful to work with. It will absolutely run product down the can all over your hand and drip all over the ground. I work outside, luckily I had covered the ground I was working on or my driveway would have been a mess. Product itself though is great. Sands well, fills nicely. I probably will keep using this product, but I may try finding some replacement nozzles in the future.

A: Thank you for your question. Since this is not a high heat product, we would not recommend it on an engine. We would recommend to use the Engine Enamel Primer followed by the Engine Enamel Paint for this type of application. Sincerely, Dupli-Color Customer Support

Q: I do have minor scratches and paint chipped on the 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I will sand down to bare metal afterthat I will spray primer on top but how long do I have leave it cure for?

Q: DYI sandblasting a motorcycle frame and will be sending it off to have it professionally powder coated. Would this product hold-off the surface rust till the powder coating process. And how long do I have before needing the powder coat? Thx!
