The display is very bright, even on the dim setting you can see everything in the room at night. Buttons are really small and close together so beware of that. Bought it because I wanted to upgrade to a digital tuner that would lock onto the FM station better than my old analog radio did.

A great alarm to RUIN YOUR ENTIRE DAY!

This is the worst clock radio I have ever purchased.. it’s going back tomorrow.. the display does NOT dim it lights up the bedroom like it’s day time...the alarm witch I set the radio to come on it came on at the set time.. then within 30 seconds the volume went from nice easily waking music to full blast volume and the volume buttons are so small you can’t turn it down before it wakes everyone up in the entire community... I understand it is supposed to wake you up... but the way this piece of garbage works you can’t disable the automatic escalating volume.... and it’s not a good way to start your morning

Q: When the alarm sounds, the volume starts low and then goes to a very high level. How do I fix this?

A: This model comes with a feature called Grad-U-Wake. When the alarm sounds, it starts softly and over 30-45 seconds reaches fun volume. The intent is to provide the user with a more gentle waking experience. The feature is integrated into the circuitry and can not be disabled or adjusted.

Q: Does this alarm clock still work without any electrical outlet in my room if I use the battery part?

A: Battery back up on this item does not operate all the clock radio functions. It provides the customer with peace of mind In the event of a power failure. Time and alarm settings are preserved so the customer will not be late for important appointments even though the power has been interrupted during the night.
