Eliminated wobbling on the bike carrier.

Bought this for the purpose of locking my bike carrier to my hitch on the car, for security. Does the job and it also eliminated wobbling of the bike carrier which was a huge plus, wasn’t expecting that. There is a hitch adapter included with the bike carrier that I used to fit inside the hitch of my car and it had a welded thread insert, so when I had gone and tightened TF out of the threaded lock pin, it also tightened the adapter and bike carrier to the cars hitch which eliminated wobbling. I don’t normally write reviews, but when I do it’s usually because I really love the item. Side note though, it would’ve been nice if the threaded pin was shorter so the locking mechanism would be right up against the outside of the hitch and not so far out, not enough to take out a star as it served its purpose and then some. Very happy with this purchase

Won't fit Thule Racks

Brought this lock, because the $500.00 Thule bike rack that I brought, only came with a $1.00 bolt that anyone with a 3/4 socket and a ratchet can remove in less then one minute. Guess what, it wont even thread in. Its of a different pitch then the Thule bolt, you would think they would be all the same thread pitch.

No, I do not recommend this product.

The threads on this pin are easier to hand tighten than the original non locking pin that came with my bike rack. A wrench is only necessary for the last few turns. The lock is slim and fits in the tight space between my bumper and hitch.
