Great bike

I bought this a month ago on sale and its a great bike for that price

good smooth ride, brakes, and shifting

I being a heavier guy, that takes my husky for daily bike rides, i can vouch that the shocks work well. my 300'ish lb inertia nails curbs and bumps and the suspension just eats it. The seat was way comfier than I expected, but i did trade it out for a comfier, water proof unit. I do a fair bit of bicycle work on my bikes as well as family members, so minor adjustment are no problem. and this bike did need some. The tires needed some air, but the valve stems were orientated pretty good and straight, and the quick disconnects for the axle shafts and seat tube, as well as handle bar hardware torque was great. The only thing really needing adjustment was the brakes. which, i could have done the easy way at the lever, but that's not great for the initial setup. and the brakes still worked fine ..they were just really low on remaining lever squeeze. And they work better than the disk brakes on my like 14 yr old CCM, providing pretty good stopping force for mortal priced disc brakes. the tires sound and grip is pretty good, and take me leaning a fair bit into corners without argument. and if you're pushing hard on the pedals, they'll let you know by the sound. the handlebar grips aren't the best, in terms of comfort, and not wanting to roll when you squeeze the brakes pretty good. but they still cushion decently. and resist that rotation enough that it's easily controllable. Overall , I think the Trenton, Canadian Tire did a pretty good job assembling the bike, the brakes were ok, and the shifters and derailers are pretty good too. I think it's a great value on sale for $400- $600 and i think the bike is still worth it's $800 normal price.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Great bike, terrible build

Bike is great, build was terrible. Can't shift between all the gears and the brakes don't stop tight. I'm sure this has everything to do with how it was built and not the bike itself.

Excellent bike

Purchased for a 14 year old boy. Excellent bike. Excellent customer service. I’d give it a 4.5/5. Brakes could be a little better.
