Q: Right product to convert from a lawn sprinkler system? I plan to convert my lawn sprinkler system to a micro drip irrigation. Most of the sprinkler heads will be disabled and use 1 or 2 to supply water to a vegetable garden. What Rainbird conversion kit is the one for me?

A: I would recommend the convert drip irrigation kit (CTC # 59-7647-2) as a starting point and also recommend that you reach out to 1-800-RAINBIRD (1-800-724-6247, Monday-Friday 5am to 5pm PST) should you have any specific questions about installing the kit.

Q: RE: Rain Bird Convert 8-Port Drip Irrigation Manifold Kit Does this connect to an ordinary garden hose? Is it suitable for flower beds. Can it spray an oblong pattern, and is the range adjustable?

A: The response from the vendor is: The 8-Port Drip Irrigation Manifold Kit connects to a ½” male pipe thread riser. This kit contains everything you need to convert a 1/2" riser to eight individually regulated spot watering stakes that water flower beds, shrubs and more with pinpoint efficiency. The range is not adjustable given the drip emitters are spot emitters and not micro sprays.
