Holy food!

Here is a picture of my Field Edge plot, I tried planting a food plot 10 years ago with other blands and had very little success. After giving up for a few years my friend told me about Rackstacker, well holy cow! I now have an acre of 3 foot tall lush green plants that are already getting hit! Bring on sweet november.... Barry from cornwall

Yes, I recommend this product.

Questions

1 - 2 of 2 Questions

Q: do you have to turn the soil in order for it to grow or do you simply spread and let grow?

1 Answer
  • A: You really want to make as best seed to soil contact as possible when planting Field Edge. Spraying the plot with a herbicide is the best, you don’t want weeds competing for moisture, nutrients on the fields with Field Edge. After spraying, using a set of disks, plows or cultivators are best. As long as you have something that can scar the ground enough to allow the seed to have good seed to soil contact then you will be successful with Rack Stacker Field Edge. Before seeding down your plot you want to drag the soils as level as possible as well. The smoother the soils the better to prevent channeling during the rain and keeps the birds from eating your seed. You don’t need to have the seed plowed under. You only want to make the seed hit the ground, and then pack it to the ground with a roller or a calti-packer. • A: Yes, Field Edge will grow in low light conditions. Minimum of 4 hours is needed and you can measure this by measuring the distance from East to West.40 ft of open canopy East to West is needed for 4 hours.
