Been using quaker state filters for decades on all our cars, including our classic cars. Quality is good, haven't any oil filter related issues. I understand they are made by the Purolator Co. However, the Canadian Tires around our area (Greater Vancouver) don't seem to be restocking this brand based on checking availability of the sizes online that I require for my various cars. I had to drive over 15km to the Can.Tire store that had one of the sizes I need (there are four Can Tire stores closer that didn't have it)

Q: Efficiency? What is the filtering efficiency?

A: A better indication of what any filter does clean is something specific stating what it does, ie: Fram as an example tells you the standard it meets (all to spec) and specifically lists the tests that determine this as per the petroleum institutes standards. You don't need to read anything into the words or assume what they may mean. Sorry, but I just don't like this filter.

A: Hi Daryl, Yes, the filters can be used with synthetic or conventional oil, I believe this is true of most all filters. The change interval for the oil and filter should be followed as stated in your owner's manual. Keith
