A: No! Venus Fly traps should be planted in Orchid moss, not soil. They will rot in soil.

A: I have no idea. But don’t aquatic plants just need water and no soil? I have one aquatic plant I have had for ten years and it is doing very well in water only and always blooms in August.

A: Yes, you can definitely use regular potting soil when planting bonsai trees. Bonsai trees don't need any special soil except for the common ingredients such as akadama, pumice, lava rock, organic potting compost and fine gravel that's normally found in potting soil. A: A better choice will be Pro-Mix Orchid Mix that contains Western Fir Bark, Charcoal and perlite. It will provide good drainage and aeration, which encourages the development of aerial roots for better nutrient and water uptake. It is formulated for orchids and other epiphytes.
