Performance is not what the packaging states!

I was replacing an existing pump in a small water feature in one of our flower gardens. There was a 50 GPM (Gallon Per Minute) pump (the one I selected and purchased) for $29.99. The output of water is no where near 50 GPM. Terrible quality and obviously over rated on what it states on the packaging! I obviously used it and have thrown out the packaging! I can't return it now. What a waste of money!

Q: Is the inflow cover (part with the slits in it) removable? Trying to pump water that contains mid-size solids... don't want to filter them out

A: Hi, the impeller cover is removable only for maintenance purposes. Installing without the cover could cause over clogging and damage to the pump. This pump was designed for use in fountains an is not ideal for passing solids or debris. We would recommend a pond boss pond or waterfall pump depending on your ideal water flow. All of these pumps also come with a inlet cover which we would also recommend leaving attached. If you need to pass larger solids, we would recommend looking into utility pump options. We hope this helps!

A: This is a submersible pump so as long as it’s placed in the water it would technically work. The tubing may need to be retrofitted accordingly, but it will not be a hazard to the dog in anyway.
