Would not fit in my sink

The drain is made up of two parts basically - pop up part above, and the drain part below. The pop up part had a thread that was 1/16th bigger than the 1 1/4” OD that it says it is. My sink was exactly 1 1/4th and it would not fit. I thought I was going crazy. I had no problem returning it. CT had no other drains to choose from, so it was Home Hardware. That drain worked. Potentially other sinks would have a bigger tolerance and would not have this problem.

Exceeded my expectations

This pop out 1.5 inch lavatory drain assembly with overflow had a quality upper and lower seal with a brass locking nut. Tail stock was ample.

Countertop mounted sink problem

Instructions omit critical information relative to my installation of a countertop mounted sink. Instructions do not state information is only relative to a counter sunk sink. Instructions need to clarify that if sink is above counter mounted, plumbers putty is required between the sink and the bottom of counter to seal and ensure there are no leaks. Took myself and the handyman I hired 4 attempts and too many hours to install before we finally figured out the problem was the space between the bottom of the sink and the bottom of the counter. Hoping manufacturer of product will see value in updating information in their instructions.

I like the pop up drain stop. But the way it secures to the rest of the drain seems to thin. Overall very easy to assemble and install.
