I have two of these units. One works fine, and the other, well, it is strange. The light goes of whenever it feels like it, and sometimes it doesn't want to go on. Like it's inhabited by spirits.

We haven't had the problems the other reviews mention, but perhaps we just aren't subjecting it to the same amount of RF interference.

Good in Theory...

... bad in reality. I'm about to go in and exchange this for a 3rd time now. These are randomly garbage units. I bought 2. One works perfect for 3 months now. The other has needed a return twice. The first one's remote switch stopped working. This second one.... the remote switch ON button does not work.... and the switch powers the light off in general by itself. The one that *does* work.... every now and then it turns itself on. Beware this is a garbagy product perhaps 1st generation technology?

switch has a mind of its own

I bought this one thinking it would be a good switch for an over the sink lighting where I hadn't any in the first place. Well, after about a couple of weeks of operation, the switch would go on and off at will. I would turn it off when it went on by itself and then after 2 seconds it would go back on again. This happened continuously for about 10 times in succession. Other times it would go off at will. Sometimes I would wake up in the moring to find the light on when I turned it off at night. I returned it and bought another one only to find out the switch would neither turn on or off at all. I returned that on for a third one only to find out it had the same problem as the fist one. I don't know if it is just spurious RF interference coming from other wireless devices or not but I can't trust this wireless switch. I couldn't return my third switch because it was past the return policy timeline, so I am stuck with a non functioning wireless switch. Thats too bad, because it is really stylish , slim and matches the Decora line of products.

A: The product is rated 15AMP. It is not recommended for car block heaters, it is intended for lamps and small appliances.
