This is a lovely mat! It works perfectly under my desk. It is already charcoal so it won't discolor from the tape on the floor (to cover loose flooring). And, my office chair rolls over it nicely.

“Alberta-Proof Mat: Crushes Mud & Snow!”

Bought this mat for the front entrance of my Edmonton condo and it’s been excellent so far (about 2 months in).
* Looks sharp in charcoal – modern and hides dirt really well through rainy and snowy days.
* Super easy to hose off or shake out; dried fast even in our cold November weather.
* Heavy enough that it stays put without flipping in the wind, but still light to move when I shovel.
* Non-slip backing actually works on both tile inside and concrete outside.
* No fading or weird smells after being in the sun/rain.
Only tiny complaint: the edges could be a touch more finished (one corner had a couple loose threads out of the box) but I just trimmed them and it’s fine

A: Yes, but you would loose the little rubber lip that goes around the carpet, if that's a concern. I cut parts off to fit my entry way and a hole for my air vent with no issues.
