Q: Is this box lockable? (like, I could put a little padlock on it?) Does the insert come out? (if I wanted to use it for something else & need open space inside). Thanks.

A: Hi, no this is a non locking hard box with fixed spacers that you put your shells into for protective storage, normally in a larger locable ammo box with a gasket seal. These help you sort your ammo and help to prevent mixing up your shells, and when you go out to the range or field, keeps them protected from damage. Also has a spot where you an place the right size choke or barrel sponge. Well constructed, and recommended.
