Product Details

Complete kit contains everything required for making professional-quality permanent repairs in just minutes. State-of-the-art components and easy-to-follow instructions with photographs. Repairs all types of plastic tanks. The repair resin is designed to harden within 8 – 10 minutes and cure in 30 minutes. Repairs can be made ideally at temperatures from 50°F to 75°F (10°C to 24°C). Repairs cracks up to 4" in length and holes up to 3/8 " in diameter. (This product is not for use on plastic fuel tanks).

Did not work for me, but may work for other more experienced folks

I had never used such a product before, so it's possible my lack of experience contributed to my issues with the product. First off, the toxic smell of the epoxy was unbearable. Secondly, I found it very difficult to mix the two pouches. I was in a cold garage, so that likely contributed to that problem. Thirdly, the included gauze was difficult to cut with scissors, and it essentially fell apart on me. I later purchased an alternative product (Gorilla epoxy), and a) it had only a very faint smell, and b) it utilized a syringe like method to mix the products. These two items made that product better. One thing I liked about this product is that they did try to include everything you needed in one kit (sandpaper, alcohol prep pad, epoxy, gauze, etc).

Q: Can this be used with plastic fuel tanks? The product photo and the product description show conflicting information on this. One states this can be used for fuel tanks, the other does.

A: #38-3706 is NOT to be used on plastic fuel tanks. Plastic fuel tanks are to be discarded when damaged. We will have the website updated so that there isn’t conflicting information.
