Tippy but there is a reason

Bought mine 3 years ago and yes it is "tippy". The V chine hull is the reason why. Secondary stability is fine. It's not a "beginners" kayak with a double arch hull so of course it is less stable. The shape of the hull allows for better speed or less effort at any given speed. Also allows it to handle a chop and waves better. It does exactly what it is designed for. Easy to transport, easy to paddle, tracking could be a little better but its only 10' long so really can't expect great tracking. Overall a 5 out of 5

Yes, I recommend this product.

Great Basic Kayak

Purchased this Kayak for small lakes and rivers and works great. Pretty stable, not that tippy at all. Paddles pretty fast, no bells or whistles but you can modify it anyway you want. We Kayak about 3 times a week and these work great!

Great Tracking Kayak

I bought this kayak today and tested it on the choppy waters of Georgian Bay. I did not find this kayak overly tippy at all. You would have to have zero sense of coordination or be in terrible physical shape to tip this kayak. I will agree it’s a little more tippy from side to side, but that is due to the weight of the kayak, not the hull. If you expect something that’s not going to tip, maybe a pedal boat suits you better! This kayak tracks great, is effortless to move and has a lot of room for storage.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Not great

We just bought 4 kayaks and were disappointed. They are the worst kayak ever tried and unsafe for children. I would not recommend them. Anyway thanks to Canadians tire to let us return them

Q: Are the footrests adjustable and does it fit a person 6'2 tall?

  • A: Good afternoon, the footrests are molded and not adjustable. As for the height restrictions, as long as you are not exceeding the max capacity of 275lbs there are no specific height restrictions.
