Been a great little Kayak for a great price. Bought 2 different Pelicans the same day. Did a longer review on the first one so I'll just say get one if you're on the fence. You wont regret it.

Not so bad

I tested it myself and I went out with my wife in this kayak while I was in the old one. It is very stable due to the bottom profile I guess, easy to keep strait too. On the negative side the fixed foot support is not as good as the adjustable on my older Pelican. There is no side elastic to keep the pedal. I have to do this myself or order the side clip that does the same.

  • A: Any kayak is always unstable to get in or out off. It is the nature of the beast. Stable once you are in but with any kayak if you change your center of gravity buy reaching for something while you are on the water the kayak will seem tippy (my favourite tech term)

Q: Will it Sink if it gets water in it? I have a pelican storm, which is basically the same Kayak. Its really tippy, if it gets enough water in it, will it just sink to the bottom? It really doesn't have any floatation to it?
