Turn it around and it will work perfectly

You need to use this sled with its back facing forward (downhill). It's the only way to make it go straight. Obviously, YOU can face downhill. If you use it the way it was made to be used, with the front of the sled facing forward, it will keep turning around or changing directions. Once you use that trick, you'll have a very functional sled for a <8 years old kid.

Not good for sliding

Very slow and hard to get started going down hill. It also turns randomly when going down hill and very tippy. You will have a hard time reaching the bottom of the slope because of it. Maybe OK when pulling small kids on a perfectly flat slope.
