I too have found that this treat is preferred over other treats, so I save it for Special Occasions and distractors. It's very high in calories (296kcal/treat) so perhaps the dog "knows" that! To slow down its consumption and to spread out the caloric intake, I've begun to cut the bone into pieces: half it, then cut each half lengthwise into quarters, so that now I have 8 fairly large pieces. That way we can extend the pleasure. She doesn't seem to mind at all!
