Seems to be working !

I've had my bird feeder station for a few years. Was able to keep the squirrels away with the baffle that came with it. Suddenly I got a squirrels that I believe is Houdini! 🐿 Didn't matter how ai positioned the baffle Houdini always made it to the feeders. Bought a second baffle and repositioned both baffles a few times because Houdini was still getting in the feeders. I think I got it right, for now, Houdini not happy and continues to try and try again!

Q: Is the diameter of the hole adjustable? The specs are not listed for that. I want to attach this to a shepherd hook feeder pole. Also, is the coupler plastic or metal?

Q: Once squirrel baffle is around pole, what stops it from slipping down the pole?

A: Thank you for your comment. Each Baffle is supplied with a securing collar which goes over the pole and screws onto the pole. You then put the baffle over the collar and you're ready to defend the feeders from the squirrels. If your unit didn't come with a secure collar, please take the whole unit back to the store with the original receipt and they will exchange it.

A: My feeder is on a 3x3 post, so I cut the baffle to fit and attached it solidly. Turns out that was a mistake: the squirrel jumps up on it and keeps going. I guess the baffle should be able to pivot freely to foil the squirrel. I am travelling at the moment, but will try to modify it so it swings freely. Squirrels are amazingly clever.

Q: Can this baffle be used with a hanging feeder without a pole? i.e. the type you hang from a tree branch?

A: I don’t think so. It is designed to work under the bird feeder not over it.

Q: Can this baffle attach around a double Shepard's hook? I bought a baffle that didn't work as it wasn't designed to come apart and I could not slide around the the double Shepard hook. The double Sheppards hook I use is for hanging plants and is decorative

A: The baffle is designed to open so that it can be attached below the double hooks. It works perfectly

Q: Can a video be created to demonstrate how to put the baffle on shepherd hooks? I purchased a metal baffle once and ended up returning it because the knob to keep the baffle on didn’t fit the shepherds hook properly. It couldn’t be tightened enough.
