Product Details

The Firestone FR710 All Season Tire For Passenger & CUV is designed to provide an all-round comfortable and confident ride in any weather. With tread patterns that clear debris and channels that evacuate water quickly, this tire will handle whatever the elements throw at you - whether you're running errands around town or taking a road trip. The multi-directional sipes increase traction on wet and slippery surfaces, so you'll take off from stop lights with ease and navigate turns and curves with confidence. So say goodbye to skidding and sliding and say hello to improved control and handling all year long.

Mud And Snow Rated

The M+S symbol differentiates an All-Season tire from a Summer only tire. While rated for light snow, they will not match a winter tire for traction or stopping distance on snow and ice.

  • The Firestone FR710 is an all-season Tire that features a long-lasting tread compound

  • Circumferential grooves help channel water out of the footprint area to improve resistance to hydroplaning

  • All-season tread design contributes to ride comfort

  • Wheels sold separately

    The worst tire ever

I bought this tires with a 65000 warranty, at 36000 all 4 tires were bald and I reported to the dealer TireHub Dallas who sent them in for inspection with firestone and they said with the pattern of wear on the tires I must have not been rotating, doing alignment or keep them under inflated - all false because my car is serviced by South Toyota but upon inspection at a firestone they refused to give me a warranty cause the tires show uneven wear less than 1 inch across three measurements. so 30000 less than promised by time of purchase and a scam of a warranty not explained before purchase and for a student like me having to deal with this loss at this pandemic period is a shame.

At first they seemed great, now I am not getting the same range on my EV as before. They get rotated every 5000k and the tire pressure is always at the recommended level, they don't handle as well in the rain like they use to. The tires are still very quiet and that can cause issues driving in the city and people walk in front of you. Overall I would buy them again, but I would like the tires to hold up a little longer in the rainey conditions.

I put these tires on my car and they exceeded my expectations. During a rain storm with sheets of water on the highway I was impressed with the tires hydroplane resistants, I was driving sensible but still impressed with the tires traction. I drove across the Pennsylvania mountains several times in snowstorms with no traction issues. after having them about two years again I was in a heavy rain storm with sheets of water on the highway and the traction was. still excellent. When I traded my car in these tires had over 40,000 miles on them and had plenty of tread left. I think these tires are underrated I will recommend them and buy them again.

This tire is one of the original equipment tires for this car model. It is the second set of tires I have had on the car. The car came with Korean tires. The FR710s are holding up better and give a better ride. The Korean tires were worn out at 40,000 miles. I currently have about 48,000 miles on the tires. They have been on the car for five years and I expect to get one more year out of them. On this model car the tires preform poorly on snow, Traction is very low. I have to use winter tires to drive the car in any amount of snow. I do not recommend this tire for this model car in areas with large amounts of snow.

    Questions

    1 - 3 of 3 Questions

Q: Are the FR710s OK for winter driving?

    1 Answer
    • A: Depends on the type of winter driving you’re referring to. These tires are Mud+Snow rated which means they’re good for slight snow & ice. However, they’re not Snow peak rated which makes them not good for hard snow weathers.

Q: Are these discontinued? I've had these before on another vehicle and they were higher rated than a LOT of "Winter" tires. All seasons don't get marketed or properly tested in Winter anymore. These are great!

    • A: These are not discontinued. In order to obtain the information you require, we encourage you to communicate with the Automotive Parts Department at your local Canadian Tire store for more expert advice.
