    This is nothing like what I had as a kid. I was using it for anxiety and needed a new package. I'm so disappointed. It is hard and never softens.

    Too hard!

    The putty was hard! We kneaded it for a while, tried to warm it in our hands. Finally got it to stretch a little, and it bounces, and picked up newsprint, but it's not easy to manipulate. Just as hard after 20 minutes of playing with it. Not at all like I remember ! Disappointed..

    If you are buying it to transfer comic strips from the Sunday comics like we did when we were kids, don’t bother, it doesn’t work. So disappointed. What purpose does it have otherwise? That is the only thing I remember using it for all those years ago.

    Q: My son is allergic to peanuts, tree nuts, sesame, eggs, and milk. Does your Silly Putty contain or come into cross contact with these allergens? Please advise. Thank you.

    • A: Denny's got some good news for you! Crayola and Silly Putty products do not contain peanuts, tree nuts, sesame, eggs or milk. Since we don't use these ingredients in any Crayola manufactured product, cross contact shouldn't be a concern. My pack also partners with other manufacturers to make licensed products outside of our typical crayon box. Some examples of this are bath products, personal care items and clothing. Since we don't make these products, you'll want to check with our friends if your son is going to use these. Licensee information is on the back of the package, or you can check with us to make sure. Hope your son has a blast with Silly Putty!
