The suction/vent hole plays an important role in airflow, which ensures smooth sipping. If that vent becomes blocked, it can interrupt liquid flow and make the bottle difficult or impossible to use properly. In some cases, blockages can occur due to residue buildup from flavored beverages, powdered drink mixes, juice, or mineral deposits from water.

To help prevent this in the future, we recommend:

Disassembling the lid (if applicable) for a thorough cleaning

Rinse the vent area immediately after each use

Use a small cleaning brush to gently clear the suction/vent hole

Allowing all components to fully dry before reassembly

That said, the lid should not become permanently blocked under normal use and proper care. If cleaning did not resolve the issue, it may indicate a defect or obstruction that shouldn’t have occurred.
