The Hillman TEKS Hex Washer Head Self Drive Screw, Self-Tapping, Carving Tips, 10 x 1-in, 4-pc, make quick work of fastening to sheet metal. The hex washer head allows for easy tightening with a power drill, while the self-tapping tips mean drilling pilot holes is unnecessary. Simply place the screw at the desired location and let the tip drill its own hole as you drive the screw home. The box includes four 10-inch long screws, perfect for assembling projects where visibility is low and ease of installation is key.

Poor service

I went to buy this but I also needed a driver for them. I asked someone to open the case and they said sure in a minute. 20 minutes later I.left and went down the road to a competitor where I bought both. Maybe have someone dedicated to unlocking your cases. I leave there at least twice a week for the same reason. Soon you will be my second choice

It's a self drilling screw.

I've bought the long and short style of these screws. They're brittle. They must be used carefully. Not to be used anywhere that it may be exposed to high temps like exhausts. Once the tip is dull, the screw is junk. Some seem to dull out faster than others. I'll admit that I may have used them for the incorrect application, but I'm sharing my experience with them.

Very weak screws

The screws were weak and broke when screwing in pre-drilled holes in soft square tube steel. Self-drilling screws they are not.
