Not great, doesn't seem to charge

It stopped lighting up after only a couple days. I had to disassemble it to remove the battery to charge with a battery charger to see if that would work.

Needs direct overhead exposure to charge

These solar candles are very cute. However, the main problem here is that the solar panel is located down inside the holder, so they need direct overhead exposure for sun to reach the charging panel. If you want to use these in any sort of covered space (like a porch or balcony) where light hits the unit at more of an angle, not enough light gets down into the holder to hit the solar panel and charge the battery. So as much as I liked the look of this light, I had to return it and get a light where the charging panel is directly on top of the device and charges better with angled/indirect light. If you have these fully outdoors with full overhead exposure, they will probably work for you. But if you're like me and want to use them on a condo balcony, they likely won't work for you.
