Bought it and opened it looking for batteries but require no battery. Trying to figure out how solar is charging the unit. This is completely garbage. No backup power to run the unit you have to wait for solar to charge. This is for esthetics only. Overpriced. Overrated. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid.

Q: I purchased the Pic Insect Killer Torch last week. The torch works and looks great but I am not doing away with any bugs. I returned the torch, yesterday and have the same problem. Am I doing something wrong?

A: It was useless. I forgot to bring it back within the return period and now have a swanky lamp I guess. Does nothing for the bugs though.
