The cord is quite long. It looks very aesthetically pleasing. I like it. Good quality. I think it high-quality metal. I screwed in an ordinary light bulb.

This was the easiest ceiling light I've installed. It looks so beautiful above my nightstand. One thing to be aware of is that the cord can look wrinkly right out of the box but it eventually flattens itself out with the weight of the lampshade over time. It might take some getting used to.

I like this lamp, it is perfect for my apartment where I don't want to do any drilling but wanted another lamp from the ceiling. It was easy to set up and allows for a bright 60 watt bulb. I highly recommend.
