Electric Speed in Brick Form

The LEGO Technic #42169 NEOM McLaren Formula E Race Car is one of those sets that perfectly blends speed, engineering, and display-worthy design. Inspired by the real Formula E racer, this 452-piece build captures the futuristic look of McLaren’s electric race machine while keeping the build fun and accessible. What I love about this set is the double pull-back motor — wind it up and the car absolutely launches across the floor. It adds that playful Technic energy that makes you want to test it again and again. On top of that, the working steering gives it a more realistic race-car feel during the build and when displaying it. The build itself is satisfying without being overly complex. It’s the kind of Technic set that flows nicely and introduces clever mechanisms without dragging on too long. Once finished, the long low stance and bold McLaren colours make it a great piece for any motorsport-themed LEGO shelf. Now that it’s retired, it’s definitely one of those Technic race cars that collectors and Formula fans will appreciate even more over time. A small set with big racing energy.

Steering is worse than a Semi truck ,etc need to reverse front and rear wheels add 3x3 dish painted. Had to buy moc instructions for F1, I added both pullback motors.
