A: This weather station displays current indoor and outdoor backyard temperatures and humidity levels. The forecasting is a future forecast based on barometric pressure changes. Animated forecast icons use changing atmospheric pressure to predict weather conditions for the next 12 hours with 70-75% accuracy. With intelligent weather forecast, please allow 3 to 4 weeks for barometric calibration. This will ensure an accurate personal forecast for your location. As the Weather station builds memory, it will compare the current average pressure to the past forty day average pressure for increased accuracy. The longer the Weather station operates in one location, the more accurate the forecast icons will be.

A: - Batteries last around 18 - 24 months. - Dollar store batteries, can't recall the trade name.

Q: Can this unit work using the AC adaptor only?

A: The base unit can operate on batteries only, but the disadvantage of using only the batteries and not plugging in the AC power is that display shuts off after a few seconds to save battery power - whereas with the AC power plugged in you can have the display on constantly.

A: This unit doesn't look like mine. I have model CA86515. That being said my year, date and time are acquired by holding the settings button until the unit beeps then page through setting values, using the + and - keys, as you go. PS: Why do they ask if I agree to the terms & conditions if I can't say NO.
