Good carbon steel cleaver

Over the years, I have found high carbon steel blades to hold a fine edge much better than stainless steel blades. I am very satisfied with the steel used in this cleaver, great for cutting anything, but I primarily use it for squash.

Q: in the specifications it says meat cleaver, but knife type is vegetable cleaver. Which knife is it?

A: It is a great cleaver for both. I bought it because it handles well, is a good weight, and does exactly what it it intended for - cut meat and veg. I actually prefer it over my other cleaver. The extra weight compared to my other one allows me to handle it better and get a more consistent cut, which might be an important feature for a professional when cutting veg which would explain the sepc as a veg cleaver.
