Fragile and flawed
a month ago
All the weight rests on the rotating bearing ring used for turning the umbrella on its axis. I’ve gone through 2 of them. Each lasts a year and then breaks, so the entire thing wobbles and shakes. Scary. Avoid.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Came with a house we purchased and worked well until one or the bracket at the top coming from the arm, broke. I cannot find anywhere to buy a new bracket. Any ideas?

Same umbrellas, one wonderful and two a nightmare

This is a mixed review. First purchase, great would give a five. Loved it, so bought a second one, stock available from a different Canadian Tire. This one had five missing parts. Returned it and got another. This one had stripped holes (3 of 4) so had to hunt down from hardware stores a solution of bolts and nuts to fit to fix problem. Next the canopy refused to lift fully to top location on arm. Finally with great difficulty solved this. So crazy that the first was great enough to want a second and to get a second was an extreme pain. We have them up now and do actually love these unbrellas, but quality control really did suck, from I am guessing, the manufacturer?

Q: Can you use water in the base instead of sand?

- A: No, inside the base are two velco bags meant for rocks or sand. That being said, we just put bags of gravel on top of everything in there and it has held it sturdy. If you had another way to hold the water you could just lay it inside the base and I'm sure it would work.3 years agoHelpful?

Q: 1) When the umbrella is open, what is the height of the umbrella (ie how much clearance is underneath the umbrella)? 2) Also, when you fill the base can you leave the sand in sand bags, or does the sand have to be emptied? Thank you.

- A: The height at the highest point is 8.5 ft and lowest point 6.5 ft. The sand goes in 2 vinyl casing bags that buckle together and lie flat the sand bags probably would be too bulky to close the plastic base the bags are in.3 years agoHelpful?
