This item is well-priced and very functional. I hadn't cooked a chicken this way before but my son requested it. The holder is the perfect size even for a tall can, and holds the chicken quite securely. The tray catches all the juices. Easy to clean and I like that it comes apart for storing. Definitely recommend.

Cheap garbage, a few years back I bought a couple of these and they were fine, the new ones were noticeably cheaper thinner metal that had trouble holding the weight of the chicken.

Q: chemicals?? By BBQing a beer can,within the chicken, will it not emit chemicals from the can into the food? IE paint from the can burning off into the food!

  • A: Actually a good point. One could pour the beer or juice or whatever liquid you're using into an uncoated stainless steel cup. I wouldn't use a beer can nor a beverage can for this cooking method.
