If you have a 15 feet diameter pool: don’t buy: it’s too small. It’s nowhere near the size to do the job.

Contrary to popular belief it should be called a moon cover because it actually prevent the warmer water at the top to evaporate during the night or when the air above the pool is colder than the water. To get the best results you should remove it during the day when the sun is out otherwise it’s just blocking the heat from warming the water. It’s my third or forth, they typically last 3-4 summer before the bubbles start to disintegrate in the water and then you swimming in plastic lens.

Q: Can I use the cover my pool came with over top of the solar cover or will it not work properly? I’m concerned about how the solar cover attaches to the pool side to keep from blowing around

A: The solar cover is like a plastic bubble wrap sheet. It doesn’t attached to the pool just floats over the water. It does warm up the water by a couple of degrees.
