I purchased the lantern and bought 4 D size batteries , which I inserted into the lantern. However when I tried to pts. to close the cover it would not close, even after many attempts

It sounds like the battery compartment may not be aligning properly, which can happen if the batteries are not fully seated or if the cover isn’t lined up with the locking grooves. We recommend double-checking that each D battery is inserted in the correct direction and pressed firmly into place, then ensuring the cover is aligned evenly before closing.

When camping for a week we hung the lantern from our gazebo over the picnic table. Found the higher it was suspended the brighter the luminosity/light. Sting and user friendly.

The light itself is great, the only complaint I have is, there is no way to recharge it if you are away from a power source. It has no option to use replaceable batteries.

Top Grade Rugged Camp Lanterns

These lanterns are everything the description states. Very well made and sturdy and extremely good lighting. There are 4 settings of brightness - the 4th being a flashing light. I am very happy. I have pics I provided for the lanterns.
